No wonder that people called him a man of peace, a man of virtues and a home builder. This man is no one else than Chief Ivinbeke Daniel Marcus. He was born on the 18th of May, 1958 in Lobia Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. He started his education career from St. Barnabas State School, Ukubie from 1965 to 1971 and bagged his FSCL (CREDIT). He proceeded to Government Sea School, Isaka, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, between 1971 and 1976 and bagged his West African School Certificate (WASC). In 1999. He got his degree in Public Administration from the University of Port Harcourt, he proceeded to the University of Jos between 2000 and 2002 and had his Diploma in Law. Between 2002 and 2003, he went to Bauchi State University where he had his Advanced Diploma in Criminology and Security Management.

He started his first job as a Grade II Teacher (auxiliary) from 1977 to 1984, Personal Assistant to Chief (Dr) Mrs Gina Yessibo (NFA) from 1999 to 2003, Political Adviser to the Bassan/Koluama Chairman in 2000. He was also a member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 2006 to 2008. Since 2012, he has been the Commissioner for Administration, Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission to date.

Other leadership experiences are: he was the Secretary, Lobia Community from 1977 to 1984, Secretary, Lobia Oil and Gas Committee between 2003 and 2007, the Chairman, Ijaw National Congress, Bassan Clan from 2008 to date, Amadiwei (REGENT) of Lobia one from 2008 to 2011. He is also a member of Lobia National Council of Chiefs from 2008 to date. He is happily married with children. His hobbies are: Football and Reading.
