An outstanding excellent Medical doctor, Dr. Chukwuka Peter Oside JP, was born in Enugu and his home town was Obior, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.

His educational backgrounds are as follows;

He attended St. Patricks Primary School, Ogbete, Enugu. He attended Christ The King College, Onitsha from 1966 to 1967 (Interrupted by the Nigeria Civil War). Then continued at St. Pius XTH Grammar School, Onitsha, Ugbo from 1967 to 1971.  Then later went to the College of Medicine and also University of Benin from 1972 to 1978.  Postgraduate studies were Certificate Course in Reproductive Health sponsored by John Hopkins University, USA; Fellowship in General Surgery, National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West African Postgraduate Medical College.  Certificate obtained were First School Leaving Certificate; West African School Certificate (Division One); Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS); certificate in Reproductive Health (CRH); Fellow, Medical College of Surgeons (FMCS); Fellow, West African College of Surgeons (FWACS); Fellow, International College of Surgeons (FICS).

He worked in various places like Internship Specialist Hospital, Benin City from 1978 to 1979.  He worked at National Youths Service Corps (a) General Hospital, Azare, Bauchi State; (b) Christian Health Centre, Ilesha, Osun State from 1979 to 1980.  He then worked as a Medical Officer, Central Hospital, Sapele.   SHO/Registrar Department of Surgery, HAD Extensive Exposures in General Surgery, Urology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, ENT Surgery from 1986 to 1991.  He worked as a Senior Registrar General Surgery, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City from 1991 to 1994.  Worked as a Senior Registrar in-charge, ENT Unit, UBTH, Benin City from 1991 to 1994.  He also worked at NKST Hospital as a Visiting Surgeon, Mbakor, Benue State from 1991 to 1993.  He worked as a Locum Surgeon, Shell and Chevron Hospitals, Warri from 1994 to 2000.  He worked as a Consultant Surgeon, Central Hospital, Warri from 1994 to 1998.  He worked at Central Hospital as a Senior Consultant Surgeon, Warri from 1998 to 2002.  He worked as a Chief Consultant Surgeon, Central Hospital, Warri from 2002 to 2012.  He then worked as Chief Medical Director, Delta State Hospitals Management Board from 2010 to 2012.  Then later worked at Delta State University Teaching Hospital as a Visiting Consultant Surgeon from 2014 till date.

He is happily married with children.
