APOSTLE CHUKWUDI ODUM A Beacon of Inspiration to Christendom

Apostle Chukwudi Odum is the Founder and President of Jesus Saves Church, with headquarters in Lagos State. A dynamic and devout preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Apostle Odum is also an exemplary christian leader and beacon of inspiration, whose exploits in God's vineyard are clear indications of his divine call. 

Apostle Chukwudi Odum, was born on September 7, 1937. Though he lost his father 90 days after his birth, he struggled through the vagaries of life and with his undaunted faith and unrelented spirit, he overcame the various obstacles and became successful in life.
Before answering God's call to the ministry, Apostle Chukwudi was already made. By sheer determination, resilience and focus, he became highly successful in his chosen profession of accountancy.   

Apostle Chukwudi hails from Obior, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. He passed his standard six examinations while in standard five class at Pilgrim Baptist School. He proceeded to acquire typing and shorthand writing skills in Warri in 1956.

That marked the beginning of his blissful career. He was employed as a typist by the Inland Revenue Department of Western Region, Ibadan, between 1957 and 1962. From 1958 to 1962, he enrolled for correspondence tuition course with Remarkable Results College, London. This enabled him to pass his R.S.A, G.C.E and Accountancy examinations. With his certification in accountancy, the intelligent Chukwudi was employed by the foremost accounting firm in Nigeria, Akintola Williams & Co., in 1962. In 1964, he joined the Ibru Organisation as Internal Auditor, a post he occupied till 1969, before he was transferred to Osadjere Fishing Co. Limited (A Subsidiary of Ibru Organisation), as a Senior Accountant. He dutifully held this post until 1974, when he honourably resigned to concentrate on his divine call. 
His crave for excellence, thoroughness and steadfastness underscores his travelling to Arizona, U.S.A to attend the highly prestigious Miracle Valley Bible College to sharpen and deepen his knowledge on the word of God. He graduated with a First Class Hons. and was the only graduate with a Ministerial Diploma. On September 7, 1957, he had a clear revelation on the proposed ministry which he started off immediately. 

He returned to Nigeria in June 1976 and between August 9 and 15, he held his first crusade, where he established the Jesus Saves Church at Agbor, Delta State. Since then, the fearless and dedicated preacher has been taking the good news of God's Kingdom to all over Nigeria and beyond. He has over 30 branches and a Bible College, where he trains pastors across all denominations. This faithful man of God has been a source of liberation, hope and inspirations to many.

A compassionate philanthropist, many orphans and the less-privileged have benefited from the scholarship scheme and kind gestures of Apostle Chukwudi Odum.

In October 1978, the world-acclaimed Apostle played host to Rev. Don Stewart, the then President of Miracle Valley Bible College whose ministration at National Evangelistic Crusade held by Jesus Saves Church in Lagos and Aba, was an unforgettable encounter that lingers in the mind of the worshippers till today.
Far and wide, Apostle Odum is showing people the way to serve God faithfully. Many of his thought-provoking sermons have been documented in books for reference purposes.Apostle Chukwudi Odum is happily married and blessed with promising children.
